Highlights

Climb the Tallest Sand Dunes in the World

Sossusvlei and Deadvlei are two of the tallest sand dunes in the world. They are located at the center of the Namib Desert, which covers approximately 50,000km2 of land. The sossusvlei is unique for its salt-clay pan formation, which fills with water every 10 years or so to form a lake. Meanwhile, the Deadvlei is equally large but does not receive any water, resulting in a large number of dead camelthorn trees.

Wildlife Viewing at Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is famous for its incredible array of wildlife. The best spot to view wildlife is at the many waterholes located in the park. Some of the many animals you may encounter include zebras, elephants, springbok mingles, and rhinos.

Optional Activities at Swakopmund

Swakopmund is a popular waystation for travelers. While there, you can check out the many local amenities, including coffee houses and cake shops. You can also go fishing, laze on the beach, and even go quad biking in the sand dunes.
