Introducing Venice

Venice, the slowly sinking city and the Veneto capital in the North of Italy. With more than 100 small islands in the Adriatic Sea and with one of the most complex and impressive canal networks in the world, this city is utterly unique in every way. This incredible city of romance is one of the most mind-blowingly beautiful places you’ll ever visit. Whether you take a classic gondola ride to explore the city in true tourist style or you search the narrow backstreets for the most authentic Risotto al Nero di Seppia, there’s something for every type of traveller in Venice.

Highlights of Venice

Rialto Bridge
This is one of the most famous landmarks of the city. Surrounding the bridge are some great places to eat and drink too.
St. Mark’s Square
This square is home to some of Venice’s top landmarks and architectural sights, and it’s always bustling with tourists in the daytime. But come back at night too when the square is all lit up and the restaurants put on a live orchestra.
Lido
For something a bit different and to escape the pace of central Venice, take the Vaparetto to Lido Island and sunbathe on the quiet, well-maintained beach.
Murano Island
Visit the island of Murano and learn how the beautiful Murano glass is made. This is a great place to shop for Murano beaded jewellery, which make great souvenirs.
St Mark's Campanile
This beautiful cathedral tower overlooks the busy St. Mark’s Square. You can purchase tickets to go to the top for spectacular views over Venice.
