Introducing Troodos

The Troodos Mountains form the largest and most impressive mountain range in Cyprus, with the highest peak topping 1,900 metres in height. Located centrally and at close range from the lush green Paphos Forest, these mountains can be easily accessed from the popular resort areas of Paphos, Kouklia, Pissouri and Limassol, and offer the most excellent views for those who hike to the top. Famed since antiquity for its beautiful forests and rich mines, the Troodos was once a key source of timber and copper which helped to construct ancient ships and weapons. And today, the mountain range is a treasured area of outstanding natural beauty; from verdant peaks and bright blue lakes to quaint hillside villages and pure white ski slopes, the amazing vistas will get better with every step.
