Eleftherias Square
The striking and contemporary Eleftherias Square is not to be missed; a large outdoor park designed by architect Zaha Hadid that is considered to be a historically significant 'architectural intervention'.
Venetian Fortifications
The Venetian Fortifications or the ‘Walls of Nicosia’ are a series of defensive walls first built in the Middle Ages.
Büyük Han
As the largest caravanserai on the island, the Büyük Han is a must-see. It was first built back in the Ottoman period in 1572.
Old Town
Head to Ledra Street and stroll through Nicosia’s Old Town area where you’ll find endless alleyways and incredible Ottoman architecture such as the House of Hatzigeorgakis Kornesios.
Cyprus Museum
This museum traces the rich history of the island featuring artefacts dating back to the Neolithic period and the Byzantine era.
