Introducing Side

This small resort town is located along the south coast of Turkey and is one of the most relaxing destinations in the Med. Pronounced “see-day”, this ancient port city offers a great mix of beaches and history and features a dazzling seafront lined with beach clubs, luxury hotels and resorts plus some incredible archaeological sites for those who love to explore their surroundings. From its 2nd Century C.E theatre to the imposing white marble columns which still remain of the Hellenistic Temple of Apollo, Side is rich in history and the town today very much reflects its interesting Roman and Byzantine past.

Highlights of Side

Side Old Town
Explore Side’s Old Town area and stroll to the top of the hill to Aspendos, an old theatre which dates all the way back to the 2nd Century.
Manavgat Waterfalls
Take the trail to the Manavgat Waterfalls which are on the Manavgat River, located a short walk from Side.
Hellenistic Temple of Apollo
Visit the Hellenistic Temple of Apollo which is located close to the Side Harbour to see the beautiful white marble pillars which look wonderful in the sunset.
Antalya
For beautiful beaches, shopping and nightlife, head to nearby Antalya. The city’s two main beaches are Konyaaltı Beach and Lara Beach.
Titryengöl
For the best fish restaurants, head out of town past the trout farm to Titryengöl where you will find a great selection of places to eat and drink.
