For culture and souvenir shopping, explore the wonderful bazaar of Kızlarağası Han, a classic Turkish shopping market which takes place within a restored inn.
Hisar Mosque
Another must-see in the Kemeraltı neighbourhood other than the market is the Hisar Mosque, a beautiful building which dates back to the 1500s.
Take a tour of Kadifekale Hill and walk to the castle that sits at the top. It’s known as the “Velvet Castle” and it offers some spectacular views overlooking the city.
İzmir Clock Tower
If you love sightseeing, don’t miss the historic İzmir Clock Tower which is located in the beautiful Konak Square.
