Sample Itinerary

India Tiger Adventure

Sadly in a current state of endangerment, the Bengal tiger is a cunning predator but prone to various external risks. For this reason, India has taken several steps, by establishing multiple conservation sites, in order to rehabilitate and protect these beautiful creatures. Fortunately, in this sample itinerary, you will get to visit these sites and participate in up to 15 game drives, with the chance to watch the Bengal tigers in their natural habitat.

Day 1: London

Leave London

Day 2: Delhi

Arrive in Delhi. Then participate in a welcome meeting around midday. Enjoy free leisure for the afternoon.

Day 3: Nagpur | Pench National Park

Transfer to Delhi Domestic Airport and fly to Nagpur. Then drive to Pench National Park to begin your safari adventure. The drive there will take around 3 hours.

Spend 2 nights at the Pench Jungle Camp or similar.

Day 4 – 5: Pench National Park

Spend the next 2 days exploring Pench National Park. Fun fact: The park served as one of many inspirations for The Jungle Book, written by Ruyard Kipling. It has also been featured in the wildlife series Tiger: Spy in the Jungle, featuring narration by Sir David Attenborough.

Whilst here, you’ll get to see around 45 Bengal tigers plus other animals. Your 2-day stay will include up to 4 game drives.

Day 6: Kanha National Park

Leave Pench National Park and head to Kanha National Park. The drive there will take around 4 hours to complete. Upon arrival, you can relax at the local pool and explore the local area.

Stay for 4 nights at the Celebration Van Vilas or similar.

Days 7 – 9: Kanha National Park

Established in 1974, Kanha National Park is one of the most popular wildlife reserves in India. Whilst here, you’ll participate in 5 game drives, giving you a chance to watch and learn about the Bengal tigers from multiple perspectives.

The park is made up of a variety of landscapes, including unique rock formations, vast grasslands, and steep plateaus. There are around 500 tigers here at the moment.

Day 10: Bandhavgarh National Park

Transfer from Kanha National Park to Bandhavgarh National Park. The journey will take about 6 to 7 seven hours, and it will include regular meal and rest breaks. Enjoy free leisure upon arrival.

Spend 2 nights at the Nature Heritage Resort or similar.

Day 11 – 13: Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh National Park is home to a wide range of species, including wild pigs, leopards, sloth bears, jungle cats, and tigers. With around 60 to 70 tigers onsite, the park has one of the highest density of tigers in India. During your stay here, you will embark on six incredible game drives.

Day 14: Katni | Agra

In the morning, go for a 3-hour drive to Katni Railway Station. Whilst there stop for food and refreshments. Then in the evening, catch an overnight train to Agra.

Day 15: Agra | Taj Mahal

In the morning, arrive in Agra and transfer to your hotel. The most famous site to visit in Agra is the Taj Mahal, a one-of-a-kind structure that is India’s most famous and widely recognized building. It is visited by millions of tourists each year, and it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983.

Day 16: Delhi

Depart Agra and transfer to Delhi, stopping for lunch on the way. Upon arrival, enjoy free leisure in the afternoon. Your tour guide can arrange optional sightseeing trips if you wish.

Depart for London in the morning and arrive in the evening.
