Day 1: Fly to Athens

Take off from London and let your adventure begin. Once you arrive in Athens, you’ll be transferred to the Negroponte Resort, where you’ll spend the next few days exploring the best of Evia. Kick off your journey with a delicious welcome dinner.

Day 2: Chalkida

Today, you’ll explore Chalkida, the island’s main city and home to the sacred fountain of Arethousa. Admire the historic old town, the Town Hall, and the Red House, a residence built in the 19th century that is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture. Also, visit the Town Hall and the Archaeological Museum. You’ll have the afternoon free to enjoy the waterfront restaurants and cafes before turning in for the night.

Day 3: Sailing in the Strait of Evia

Hop on a sailing boat and explore the narrow channel that connects Evia to mainland Greece. Experience a fascinating tidal phenomenon where the water stops moving for around eight minutes every time it changes direction. You’ll also be able to stop at one of the serene coves for a swim and enjoy snacks and drinks on board.

Today, you can indulge in whatever your heart desires, whether taking advantage of everything the Negroponte Resort offers or heading out to explore more of the area. Take a full-day excursion to the birthplace of Western civilization, Athens. Then, step into history at the Panathenaic Stadium, a granite structure built in the late 19th century that hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Finally, visit the temple of Athena Nike, dedicated to two goddesses built around 420 BC, and learn the art of making the perfect Greek coffee at a local coffee shop.
